Last year there was a significant increase in the number of ‘Raves’ held in the Thames Valley area.  These are unlicensed music events which often spring up without notice and cause great distress to local people and the TV Police are keen to ensure that there is no repeat this year.

To that end, Cherwell and West Oxfordshire Neighbourhood teams are working together to safeguard our villages and rural locations and would like your help please.

We need two members of our community to act as ‘RAVE monitors’; these people will be active, vigilant and knowledgeable about North Leigh parish - training will be available and your task would be to look out for any signs that a rave might occur.

The Police do not expect the monitors to be active on a regular basis as they themselves will be acting on intelligence and ensuring there is an appropriate tactical response to any incident.
